ITC PUBLISH NEW TECHNICAL PERFORMANCE CODE

THE ITC have announced that they have published a new streamlined and simplified Technical Performance Code.
The Code sets out the standards of technical quality that ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and S4C terrestrial digital, must comply with under the Broadcasting Acts 1990 and 1996. The Code also gives minimum standards of reliability, measured in terms of service availability to viewers, for all terrestrial services.
The ITC will be discussing with their licensees appropriate procedures in order that the licensees themselves will ensure compliance with the requirements of the Technical Performance Code through the process of co-regulation.
Copies of the code can be obtained for the ITC Information Office or from the ITC website www.itc.org.uk
