Gee Broadcast launch new touch screen controller

Gee Broadcast has made the Geevs Broadcast Video Server even easier to manage with the launch of the Geevs Tac-Tile touch screen controller.
Through its TFT LCD display,Geevs Tac-Tile provides a compact but powerful interface for use with one or more Geevs servers. Connection to the server(s) is made via Ethernet, so installation is flexible and easy. A full resolution, true-colour, touch-sensitive LCD screen provides a compact version of the Geevs GUI that displays key information and accepts control commands. A robust yet sensitive jog knob and buttons, with carefully researched ergonomics and positive ‘feel’, provide fast operation for the major functions of play, pause, fast-forward and rewind.
Managing Director Keith Gee said: “As the Geevs Video Server evolves, we’re both responding to and anticipating the developing needs of professional users. Geevs Tac-Tile increases the options available to our users, putting a powerful additional tool into their hands, and we expect it to help establish the reputation of Geevs as the broadcast video server of choice.”
Geevs Tac-Tile can either be mounted directly on the front of a Geevs server or used remotely over a Cat.5 Ethernet cable. The GUI firmware is upgradeable to ensure that the controller can be kept current throughout its operational life. The Tac-Tile controller includes composite video and mono audio outputs for reviewing and editing material.
Geevs Buttonbox, a complementary but simplified version of Geevs Tac-Tile, will also be available without the touch screen, but with a set of dedicated buttons and connection for an external VGA monitor.
