Clutch of Gold and Silver Promax Awards for blue's clients

Full-service post production facility, blue, has been recognised for its part in 11 Gold and 10 Silver awards winners spanning 17 categories at this year’s Promax UK 2004.
Held in London earlier this week, the Promax awards recognise the crème de la crème of the TV promotions industry.
Post facility blue carried out a combination of sound editing, effects and grading work for projects which won awards in several categories including Best Factual or Factual Entertainment Promotion - Clip Based, Best Leisure and Lifestyle Promotion and Best On-Air Branding.
Danny Whybrow, blue Managing Director, said: “We’re delighted with our clients’ success at the Promax Awards. The variety of categories that they won awards in really shows the breadth of the expertise at blue and the quality of the services that we offer”.
Gold Awards were won for:
  • The Boy Whose Skin Fell Off, Channel 4 Television (Category: Best Factual or Factual Entertainment Promotion - Clip Based)
  • Pro-Ev Soccer Fash FC, Flextech Television (Category: Best Sponsors Credits)
  • Champions League 2004 – Chelsea, ITV plc (Category: Best Sports Promotion - Originated)
  • House Doctor: Inside and Out, Five (Category: Best Leisure and Lifestyle Promotion)
  • E4 + 1, E4 (Category: Best Launch)
  • End Of Story, BBC Broadcast (Category: Best Direct Response Promotion)
  • Omagh, Channel 4 Television (Category: Best Editing)
  • E4 Friday, Films E4 (Category: Best Film Promotion - Originated)
  • Messiah, BBC Broadcast (Category: Best Drama Promotion - Clip Based)
  • X rated, Channel 4 Television (Category: Best Entertainment or Comedy Promotion – Originated)
  • Faces On Four (Viral), Channel 4 Television (Category: Best Campaign Idea)
Silver Awards won by blue included Faces of 4 – Swearing, Channel 4 Television (Best Corporate Promotion), Omagh, Channel 4 Television (Best Drama Promotion - Clip Based) and Band Idents, E4 (Best On-Air Branding).
Since its launch in 1995 blue has become synonymous with top end broadcast post-production – from short-form titles sequences, idents, commercials and trailers to long-form television programming such as documentaries, dramas and factual series.
Recent projects include: Himalaya with Michael Palin Prominent Television for BBC; Mcfly – Room on the Third Floor (Academy); and Hex (Shine Productions for Sky One).
