FIRST ART RELEASE PRIMAL 4.0

FIRST ART have announced the release of Primal Version 4.0.
Primal is a real time image-processing engine for telecine colourists, unique in the post production industry in that it renders image processing effects filters typically used in Flame and Inferno in real time. The effects are filmic and organic in nature and the engine inside Primal is resolution independent for future upgrade paths to HDTV and beyond.
V4.0 adds the 'Optics' feature for real time glints and camera blurs. Primal is the only product that can render these image treatments real time, interactively. V4.0 is a feature rich release and includes added features to Primal's in-built powerful Keyer, as well as further exciting effects. V4.0 is free of charge to all existing Primal users.
Primal is comprised of state-of-the-art hardware running powerful software, and is housed in a 4u 19-inch rack system. The system is capable of creating stunning filmic effects, and has an on-board set tool set of useful features. Primal can create effects simply not possible in a telecine or edit suite today.
