AEQ Installs ATRIUM Console In Onda Madrid’s New Studio

Onda Madrid, the radio arm of Radio Televisión Madrid (RTVM), has unveiled a new studio fitted with AEQ technology. The build centres on an ATRIUM digital audio console, complemented by audio-over-IP interfaces and auxiliary hardware to support the station's daily production.

The ATRIUM surface provides 24 motorised faders, with 10.1-inch touchscreens on each fader module, plus a control module featuring a 10.1-inch touchscreen and a loudness meter. The system is configured with 64 Dante/AES67 audio inputs and outputs, and includes ATRIUM Virtual software, enabling remote operation of console functions via a virtual control surface.

Microphones and headphones in both the main studio and the news studio are linked through three NETBOX 4MH interfaces. These units move audio across the Dante network, bringing connections from different work areas into the central production environment.

AEQ's delivery also covers auxiliary gear such as AEQ HB-02 headphone amplifiers, microphones, headphones, a digital clock and network switches, among other items.

Telemadrid's technical team handled installation and integration. AEQ carried out equipment configuration, commissioning and on-site training to help staff familiarise themselves with the updated workflow.

ATRIUM is AEQ's digital mixing platform designed for professional radio and television production and broadcast. Its modular design and integration with audio-over-IP systems allow each installation to be tailored to specific requirements.

Through this project, AEQ further reinforces its collaboration with broadcast professionals by providing solutions suited to modern production needs. The combination of the ATRIUM console, NETBOX 4MH interfaces and complementary equipment delivers the toolset required for audio production in Onda Madrid's new studio.
