LiveU Showcases AI And IP Production Technologies

LiveU is showcasing its latest IP-video, AI and workflow automation technologies at CABSAT 2026 as it targets the growing demand for more resilient and efficient live production across the Middle East and North Africa.

The company is demonstrating its Q Era and wider IP-video EcoSystem at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, with resilient IP contribution, cloud production and automated workflows among the technologies on show.

At the centre of LiveU's showcase is the LU900Q, an intelligent production unit designed for live transmission from a range of locations. The system features six 5G Dual-MIMO modems and a high-gain antenna array, alongside dual-camera support.

The LU900Q also offers GPS and telemetry, dual video return, dual intercom, 10-bit HDR 4:2:2 encoding, support for up to 32 audio channels and up to seven hours of battery life.

LiveU is also highlighting satellite connectivity, with the LU900Q, LU800 and LU300S supporting Starlink as part of a bonded IP connection alongside cellular networks. The company says this provides broadcasters with an additional option for live contribution from remote locations where terrestrial connectivity is limited.

Another product on display is the LiveU TX1, a compact camera-mounted unit designed for Sony professional cameras. It provides bonded file transfer directly from the camera, while the Sony RXS Connection License enables direct file transfer from compatible Sony cameras to the PWA-RXS solution through supported LiveU field units, beginning with the LU300S.

The TX1 is the result of a partnership between LiveU and Sony and is described by LiveU as its first fully native, dedicated integration gateway for Sony's ecosystem.

Cloud-based production is also a focus at CABSAT. LiveU Nexus is being demonstrated as a cloud-native universal gateway for ingest and distribution, supporting protocols including LRT, SRT and RTMP and connecting social, online and remote sources with traditional broadcast operations.

Meanwhile, LiveU Studio provides browser-based live production, with support for synchronised multi-camera production, ISO recording and instant replay. The platform can also deliver multiple feeds in different formats from a single production.

Automation is another key part of the showcase, with LiveU highlighting tools designed to help broadcasters manage greater production demands with smaller teams.

LiveU Ingest brings live acquisition into editorial workflows by recording and tagging content with story metadata and connecting with MAM, NRCS and transcription systems. This allows feeds to be searchable, linked to rundowns and ready for clipping.

LiveU Schedule provides a SaaS platform for scheduling, resource management and automated execution, replacing spreadsheets and disconnected tools for news and live-event workflows.

Actus Digital, a LiveU company, is also presenting the latest version of its Actus X platform. The system combines compliance logging, quality assurance and technical monitoring with browser-based multiviewing, clip creation and AI-powered content intelligence.

The company says the latest Actus X updates focus on usability, performance, scalability and integration, alongside its existing monitoring and compliance capabilities.

LiveU is exhibiting at CABSAT 2026 on Stand H1-D35 at the Dubai Exhibition Centre.
