LiveU Spotlights Three Broadcast Priorities At NAB Show 2026
At NAB Show, LiveU will showcase its broadest IP-video EcoSystem to date, designed to help broadcasters and content creators embrace digital first operations, dramatically simplify live production workflows through AI-enabled automation, and ensure resilient IP contribution in even the most demanding environments.
LiveU's newest solutions on display will include the LU900Q intelligent production unit, defining a new era for live broadcasting with native LiveU IQ (LIQ™) connectivity. Also featured are LiveU Nexus, a universal gateway for digital and IP workflows, and LiveU Schedule, a centralized scheduling and resource automation tool.
NAB Show is the perfect stage to illustrate how the company's modular building blocks work together to create story-centric workflows, reduce complexity and deliver more value from live video. Across news, sports, and live events, LiveU will demonstrate how cloud-native architectures and intelligent automation enable broadcasters to do far more with fewer resources, lower operating costs, and replace costly legacy infrastructure – while consistently delivering broadcast-grade quality at scale.
Actus Digital, a LiveU company, and a leader in quality assurance monitoring and compliance logging, will be prominently featured on the booth, unveiling the latest advancements in Actus X, its intelligent monitoring platform that extends far beyond traditional regulatory compliance. New capabilities include native support for ATSC 3.0 monitoring with A3SA encryption; a browser-based multiviewer delivering sub-second latency and new interactive controls that let operators sync and replay multiple feeds simultaneously; and automatic alert reporting, providing greater visibility while significantly reducing manual effort.
"The broadcast industry is undergoing a fundamental shift as organizations adapt to digital-first realities and the pressure to increase live content production for more platforms, faster than ever," said Gideon Gilboa, LiveU's Chief Product Officer and General Manager (Americas). "At NAB, LiveU is demonstrating how our unified, modular EcoSystem – anchored by the breakthrough LU900Q and reinforced by powerful automation – allows broadcasters to modernize at their own pace, while making production and the generation of new content easier and faster."
Gilboa explained, "What used to require three people working across multiple systems – from planning through transmission, ingest, and metadata enhancement – can now be completed by our customers with just two clicks, all from a single pane of glass."
IP Contribution Resilience
At the heart of LiveU's NAB Show presentation is the LU900Q, representing a new era in intelligent field units. Powered by native LiveU IQ (LIQ™), advanced eSIM technology, optimized 5G modems, and a MIMO antenna array, LU900Q delivers exceptional reliability and future-ready live transmission from virtually any location. As a smart multi-tool, it combines unprecedented richness and flexibility in one compact platform, with advanced capabilities such as 4:2:2 encoding and dual-camera support enabling high-quality production across a wide range of news and sports use cases, from field reporting and live events to drones and emerging workflows.
Digital-First Strategies
Designed for fast-growing digital-first environments, LiveU Nexus simplifies modern broadcast ingest and distribution by converting, normalizing and routing IP feeds across protocols such as LRT, SRT and RTMP. LiveU Nexus bridges social, online and remote sources with traditional broadcast operations, enabling broadcasters to easily serve linear, digital and social platforms from a unified IP workflow.
Complementing field acquisition and ingest, LiveU Studio will be showcased with expanded cloud-based IP live production capabilities, including the ability to deliver multiple feeds in various formats from the same production. With a browser-based, broadcast-grade video switcher, support for synchronized multi-camera production, ISO recording and instant replay, LiveU Studio enables remote and distributed teams to produce professional live content with maximum flexibility.
Workflow Automation
LiveU will emphasize how workflow automation is becoming essential as broadcasters face increasing production demands with leaner teams. For example, a live production that previously required separate planning, transmission, ingest and metadata workflows across several platforms can now be managed centrally – from scheduling to execution – significantly reducing operational overhead.
LiveU Schedule plays a key role in this transformation, replacing spreadsheets and fragmented tools with a centralized SaaS platform for intelligent scheduling, resource management, and automated execution. Built for fast-paced news and complex live events, LiveU Schedule helps broadcasters streamline planning and ensure consistent, repeatable workflows.
Gilboa continued, "Together, LiveU solutions form a seamless IP-video workflow designed for reliable, mobile and wireless live production. LiveU will demonstrate how broadcasters can move faster with IP-positive networks, streamline operations through workflow automation, and deliver breaking, live content at scale in a truly digital-first environment."
Technical collaborations
Other highlights include LiveU's collaboration with key technology partners and expanded connectivity possibilities, such as private 5G, further strengthening resiliency and flexibility for live production in challenging conditions.
