Zero Density Unveils Traxis Hub 3.1
Zero Density has launched Traxis Hub 3.1, a no‑cost update to its camera, object and talent tracking software that introduces the Automatic Lens Profiler, enabling production teams to generate accurate broadcast zoom lens profiles in minutes.
The release is designed to replace lengthy, vendor‑dependent lens profiling with a self‑service workflow. By allowing engineers to create and manage profiles directly, Traxis Hub 3.1 helps speed up camera‑tracking setup and simplify ongoing maintenance.
Running on a standard Windows 11 workstation with a Blackmagic DeckLink SDI I/O card, the software supports tracking pipelines based on FreeD, Xync and OpenTrackIO. It also works with mechanically tracked cranes, robotic systems and PTZ cameras, bringing data from a wide range of rigs into virtual studio and augmented reality productions.
Beyond lens profiling and camera tracking, Traxis Hub unifies object and talent tracking in the same environment, providing a centralised platform for managing end‑to‑end tracking workflows.
Traxis Hub 3.1 was recognised with a Product of the Year Award at NAB Show 2026, where Zero Density demonstrated the Automatic Lens Profiler and its self‑service approach to broadcast lens calibration.
With the software now available at no charge, broadcasters, studios and content creators can add camera tracking and automated lens profiling to their pipelines without additional software costs.
Zero Density has also expanded the Traxis tracking ecosystem with optional hardware. Cartridge for Traxis Camera Tracker now supports external lens encoders, allowing zoom and focus data to be read from geared lenses. New additions include the Talent Tracking Beacon for ID‑based performer tracking and Automatic Profiler Tags to streamline lens profiling.
