DoPchoice Unveils SNAPGRID Core Light Shaper

DoPchoice has introduced the SNAPGRID® Core for ARRI's new Omnibar range, a durable, first-of-its-kind flexible hard-grid light shaper built around a 40-degree, honeycomb-style cell structure to enhance control and creativity on both the two-foot and four-foot models.

Leveraging two decades of light‑shaping expertise, DoPchoice developed the system with Netherlands-based Ellar Works, founded by working DoP Job Kraaijeveld, who has spent over 10 years transforming on-set experience into custom-engineered lighting tools.

Responding to the surge in uniquely configured LED fixtures, SNAPGRID Core is precision‑tuned for long, linear lights. It attaches directly to the Omnibar’s front via two hook‑and‑loop bands and is compatible with the Omnibar Flat Diffuser for soft, even output or the Omnibar Intensifier for a tighter beam. The lightweight yet rugged build resists wear from repeated rigging without deforming or compromising directional control.

On the longer Omnibar 4, the Core adds increased cell angling at the outer ends to steer output toward the centre of the far field, minimising abrupt edge falloff. The result is the Core Focus Cone effect, delivering a gentle, wraparound quality of light that flatters subjects.

SNAPGRID Core is available to fit the Omnibar 2 (61 x 6.5 x 4 cm, 0.30 kg) and Omnibar 4 (121 x 6.5 x 4 cm, 0.50 kg).
