Lawo Showcases Latest mc² And Power Core Developments

Lawo is showcasing the latest developments across its audio production portfolio at IBC2026, with a focus on software-defined workflows, IP-native infrastructure and intelligent orchestration designed to improve flexibility and efficiency for broadcasters and production providers.

Visitors explored the latest software releases for Lawo’s mc² production console family and Power Core platform, as well as the company’s wider integrated audio infrastructure ecosystem built around the HOME management and orchestration platform.

A central focus of the company's presence is mc² Software Release 12.4, which introduces a range of workflow enhancements for live production and broadcast applications. Among the new features is Real-Time Analyzer (RTA) support, giving engineers immediate visual feedback for signal analysis directly within the console workflow.

Lawo has also streamlined operation on touchscreen-equipped surfaces with new zoom module pop-ups, providing faster access to channel controls.

The release expands interoperability for IP production environments through updates to the HOME API. These allow mc² control systems and consoles to read and control third-party lives@HOME equipment, including devices such as the DirectOut PRODIGY series.

Additional updates include the ability to recall channel presets directly from external Ember+ controllers, simplifying integration with wider facility control systems. Sample-based delay adjustment provides more precise timing alignment, while API-key authentication is designed to support secure machine-to-machine connectivity between consoles, control systems and HOME.

Lawo is also using IBC2026 to preview mc² Software Release 12.6, continuing its focus on deeper HOME integration and greater operational flexibility.

The upcoming release will introduce dynamic assignment of physical console connections as devices to mc² control systems through HOME. According to Lawo, the capability will provide more flexible resource management and greater resilience across production facilities.

Release 12.6 will also introduce the HOME mc² Control System App and browser-based mxGUI support, enabling native operation and configuration through standard web browsers.

Further usability improvements include enhanced AUX bus assignment and dynamic VCA Leader meter displays, designed to provide clearer visual feedback during live productions.

Lawo is also presenting Power Core software package 10.0, the latest release for its IP audio processing platform.

The update expands workflow capabilities for radio and TV broadcast applications and introduces the HOME Power Core, a software-based alternative to the physical Power Core platform.

A new six-band equalizer is another addition, combining four fully parametric bands with two additional filter bands. The feature is available in both Power Core and the HOME Power Core DSP App, giving operators greater processing flexibility and creative control.

Beyond the latest software releases, Lawo is demonstrating its wider portfolio of IP-native audio infrastructure solutions at IBC2026.

The portfolio includes mc² production consoles, crystal and diamond on-air broadcast consoles, Power Core and A__UHD processing platforms, stageboxes and I/O gateways. These include the A__Line series and the new Edge One Converged Video & Audio Stagebox.

Integrated through HOME and based on open standards, the solutions are designed to support scalable workflows ranging from compact production environments to large-scale broadcast, sports, entertainment and performing arts applications.

With the latest mc² and Power Core developments, Lawo is highlighting its broader strategy of delivering flexible, secure and integrated audio production ecosystems for the evolving media landscape.
