DPA Unveils 4099 CORE+ Mic And Mounting Upgrades At 2026 NAMM

DPA Microphones will showcase its 4099 CORE+ Instrument Microphone alongside redesigned instrument clip solutions at the 2026 NAMM Show (Booth 16102).

The next generation of the brand's instrument mic is billed as raising standards for clarity, control and versatility, using advanced distortion-reduction to offer a wider dynamic range, greater transparency and more authentic capture.

According to the company, the 4099 CORE+ adds 10 dB of dynamic range and features a higher clipping point than the previous model, enabling more precise, faithful reproduction across instruments. Its patent-pending CORE+ by DPA technology is designed to virtually eliminate non-linearities in the diaphragm and circuitry, resulting in transparent, low-distortion sound.

DPA has also overhauled its mounting ecosystem. The new Gooseneck Mount (G-MOUNT) introduces a two-step locking mechanism for accurate one-hand positioning, improved vibration isolation and backwards compatibility with many existing DPA clips.

Refinements extend to established clips for cello, piano and microphone stands, while a new XLR-MOUNT allows easy attachment of 19 mm pencil mics or XLR adapters. The 4099 CORE+ incorporates the company’s MicroLock connector for more reliable connections in demanding conditions, and pairs it with a refined shock mount and upgraded wind protection for a more robust, flexible, performance-ready system.
