Gravity Media, the global provider of live production, content and media services and facilities, has appointed Alex Pannell as Chief Business Officer, effective this month, strengthening its senior leadership as the company accelerates international growth.

Following a period of robust expansion across all divisions, the newly created role will see Pannell work closely with the executive team and regional Business Units worldwide to advance the company's development, enhance collaboration between regions and identify further opportunities for growth.

With more than 20 years' industry experience, Pannell has led large-scale programmes, set strategic direction and delivered sustainable commercial outcomes.

His background spans group strategy, sales and business development, marketing, technical sales, pricing, and customer success and support, underpinned by a strong track record in driving performance and business development across complex global markets.

Across his career he has partnered with customers, collaborators and leadership teams to shape commercial strategy, build organisational capability and support long-term success.

Pannell joins from Appear, where he served as Chief Commercial Officer, bringing extensive international leadership experience across the media technology and broadcast sectors.

As Chief Business Officer, he will help bring together key strategic functions across the Group, aligning capabilities, deepening collaboration and supporting the continued evolution of Gravity Media's global operations.

Alex Pannell, Chief Business Officer at Gravity Media, said: "I'm excited to be joining Gravity Media at such an important and exciting time in its journey. Gravity Media has an outstanding reputation, an exceptional team and an impressive global footprint.

I'm looking forward to getting to know the business, meeting colleagues, partners and customers, working together to build on the strong foundations already in place which provide a fantastic platform for the next phase of growth and help shape what comes next."

John Newton, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said: "We are delighted to welcome Alex to Gravity Media. As our business continues to evolve and grow, it is important we have the right leadership structure and expertise in place to support our ambitions. We were looking for someone who could bring broad leadership experience, a collaborative approach and a genuine understanding of our industry. I'm looking forward to working with Alex as we continue to build on our momentum and create exciting opportunities for our people, clients and partners around the world."

Pannell will be based in London and will operate across Gravity Media's global network, including regional offices and on-site teams.

The appointment comes amid continued growth at Gravity Media, further reinforcing its position as a leading production, content, media services and facilities provider.
