IntoPIX Titanium FPGA SoC EDK Secures IPMX Certification

intoPIX has announced that its Titanium FPGA SoC EDK has successfully completed IPMX certification testing, confirming compliance with the IPMX specification (VSF TR-10 series). The milestone enables OEMs using the platform for cameras, encoders, decoders, gateways and displays to ship fully IPMX-compliant products for the professional AV market.

Designed for rapid development on a single codebase that spans both broadcast (SMPTE ST 2110) and ProAV (IPMX), the Titanium FPGA SoC EDK is built around the company's JPEG XS technology. It brings together the TicoXS FIP core, SMPTE ST 2110-22 transport, NMOS IS-04/05/09/11 for discovery and connection, plus both PTP and non-PTP timing modes, all within a compact FPGA footprint. Manufacturers benefit from one integration effort instead of parallel tracks, faster time to market and a reduced bill of materials, while delivering visually lossless, ultra-low-latency compression from HD up to 4K.

The certification assures seamless interoperability with the expanding ecosystem of IPMX-certified senders, receivers and controllers. It gives OEMs added confidence to adopt the platform across applications such as cameras, production switchers, extenders and AV-over-IP infrastructure in corporate, education, government and entertainment environments.

Alongside the FPGA platform, intoPIX's Titanium Apps suite — TitaniumViewer and TitaniumShow — has also achieved IPMX certification on Windows. The latest release introduces Privacy Encryption Protocol (PEP) support, based on VSF TR-10-13, to encrypt IPMX streams for content protection on shared or public networks. It also adds uncompressed HD streaming over SMPTE ST 2110-20 in TitaniumViewer, allowing users to run uncompressed alongside JPEG XS-compressed workflows within the same application.

Together, these updates allow integrators to turn standard PCs and laptops into certified IPMX sources and receivers without additional hardware, choosing between compressed or uncompressed transport with the added security of encrypted streams.

intoPIX will showcase the newly certified Titanium FPGA SoC EDK and Titanium Apps at IBC2026 (Booth #8F85) from 11–14 September at the RAI Amsterdam. Live demonstrations will include IPMX interoperability, PEP-secured streams and uncompressed HD over ST 2110-20, with meetings available to book in advance.
