QuickLink Adds WhatsApp And Webex To StudioEdge, Boosts Microsoft Teams Integration

News Image
QuickLink has announced a significant update to its award-winning StudioEdge™ remote contribution platform, adding support for WhatsApp and Cisco Webex and introducing enhanced integration with Microsoft Teams. The features will be showcased at IBC 2026 (Stand 7.C19), further positioning StudioEdge as a unified solution for bringing remote guests, experts and contributors into professional production workflows.

Built for broadcasters and production teams, StudioEdge already enables broadcast-quality, discrete audio and video contributions from leading platforms, with existing support for Zoom, Microsoft Teams and StudioCall™. By incorporating WhatsApp and Cisco Webex, producers can now connect participants using the tools they rely on every day, lowering barriers for contributors and simplifying workflows across broadcast, media and enterprise environments.

The latest Microsoft Teams enhancements extend StudioEdge’s flexibility, including support for multiple callers from a single Teams meeting. Additional capabilities include join notifications, active speaker and screen sharing support, and compatibility with Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) setups.

At IBC 2026, QuickLink will demonstrate how these updates make StudioEdge an even more scalable and reliable ecosystem for remote guests, helping organisations streamline production, adapt to evolving workflows and maintain broadcast-quality connectivity from virtually anywhere.

"Remote contribution is now a fundamental part of modern production, and flexibility is key to making it work. By adding support for WhatsApp and Cisco Webex, alongside enhanced Microsoft Teams integration, StudioEdge gives production teams greater choice in how they connect remote contributors while allowing guests to participate through the platforms they already use." — Richard Rees, QuickLink CEO

With its expanded multi-platform toolkit, StudioEdge enables teams to bring remote participants into live or recorded productions with greater choice, flexibility and consistency. IBC attendees can see the enhanced platform in action. For more information, visit the QuickLink website or email sales@quicklink.tv. You can also book a meeting with the team at IBC2026.
