QuickLink StudioEdge Clinches TV Tech Best Of Show At IBC 2026
QuickLink, a global provider of professional video production and remote contribution solutions, announced that StudioEdge™ has won TV Tech's Best of Show award at IBC 2026.
The accolade, presented by Future PLC, recognises the platform's latest upgrades, including native support for WhatsApp and Cisco Webex alongside substantial new functionality for Microsoft Teams.
The win builds on StudioEdge's previous Best of Show success, underlining the continued evolution of its multi‑platform remote‑contribution ecosystem showcased at this year’s IBC.
Assessed by industry experts, the Best of Show programme highlights standout technologies and solutions on display at IBC, with judging criteria spanning innovation, features, value and applicability across the broadcast and professional AV markets.
"We're thrilled to see StudioEdge recognized again, particularly for the significant advancements we’ve made to the platform this year. StudioEdge was built around the idea that production teams shouldn’t have to worry about which communication platform their contributors use. With the addition of WhatsApp and Webex, alongside the major enhancements to Microsoft Teams, we’re continuing to remove those barriers and give producers even more flexibility in how they bring remote contributors into their workflows," said Richard Rees, QuickLink CEO
StudioEdge is designed to deliver broadcast‑quality, discrete audio and video from the communication tools contributors already use. With the latest release, contributors from Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, Cisco Webex and QuickLink StudioCall™ can be brought together within a single, professional production workflow.
A headline addition is WhatsApp integration, tapping into a vast global user base to help production teams reach remote contributors more easily while maintaining the quality and control expected in broadcast environments.
Support for Cisco Webex further extends StudioEdge’s reach into enterprise communications, while enhanced Teams functionality adds support for multiple callers from a single meeting, guest‑join notifications, active speaker support, screen sharing, and compatibility with Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR).
Collectively, these updates reinforce StudioEdge as a flexible, scalable and platform‑agnostic remote guest solution. By allowing contributors to connect through familiar platforms, it reduces friction while giving producers greater visibility, control and consistency across complex live and recorded productions.
From breaking‑news interviews and expert commentary to panel discussions and corporate communications, StudioEdge enables broadcast‑quality connectivity from virtually anywhere, prioritising accessibility, workflow efficiency and seamless integration across diverse communication environments.
