Capture One And Hasselblad Strike Partnership
Hasselblad and Capture One have announced a partnership that brings native support for Hasselblad medium-format cameras to Capture One's software.
From today, users can import, organise and develop Hasselblad .3FR RAW files directly in Capture One, using the full suite of layers, masks, colour tools and precision adjustments. Initial coverage includes three 100-megapixel models: the X2D II 100C, the X2D 100C and the CFV 100C digital back.
The move answers years of requests from photographers for a native workflow. Previously, bringing Hasselblad files into Capture One often required conversions and workarounds that could compromise colour fidelity and editing latitude. With native support, those steps are no longer necessary, and files open ready to develop alongside images from other systems.
Bronius Rudnickas, Global Marketing Manager, Hasselblad, said: "Since the beginning, Hasselblad has been driven by a passion for photography and a commitment to giving photographers the tools they need to realize their creative vision. We are excited to make Hasselblad technology accessible to a wider audience. Together, we are empowering more creatives with best-in-class tools to bring their vision to life and create exceptional photography."
The integration is tailored specifically for Hasselblad. Dedicated colour profiles have been created for each supported camera so images render with the true-to-life colour Capture One users expect, while bespoke lens profiles for Hasselblad XCD lenses correct distortion, chromatic aberration and light falloff.
At launch, the partnership focuses on native RAW development, enabling photographers to work on both new and existing Hasselblad images within Capture One. Tethered capture — connecting a Hasselblad camera directly to Capture One for live, on-set shooting — is planned for later in 2026.
