X-Rite to Showcase Colour Management Solutions At IBC2017

News Image
XP Distribution has announced that it will demonstrate its extensive range of colour management products for video production at IBC2017 in Hall 12 Stand G48.

X-Rite's video products ensure filmmakers can achieve predictable colour results from capture to edit by setting perfect exposure, matching multiple cameras, obtaining faithful colour balance and ensuring on-screen colour accuracy.

These monitor calibration and target solutions are very affordable and ensure that creative video workflows are streamlined, saving both time and money in the capture and post-production stages. X-Rite colour management and calibration solutions can also be utilised with industry leading products including Atomos field monitors, Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro and Black Magic DaVinci Resolve.

At IBC2017, X-Rite Photo Europe will be demonstrating their latest range of video products:
• i1Display Pro – The X-Rite i1Display Pro is the ultimate choice for filmmakers, who are looking for a high level of on-screen colour accuracy for their displays. There are two user modes (basic and advanced), which provide unrivalled colour precision, speed and controls for consistent colour from monitor to monitor. The included i1Profiler software includes video pre-sets to support DCI-P3, Rec. 709 and Rec. 2020 workflows. X-Rite has also collaborated with Atomos to offer a simple way to calibrate all Atomos field monitors with X-Rite's i1Display Pro.

• ColorChecker Passport Video – The X-Rite ColorChecker Passport Video provides colour balance and ideal camera exposure. This essential pocket-sized colour chart will give an accurate colour match between multiple cameras, and the ability to achieve your ideal exposure for mixed lighting shoots. It comes in a handy protective case and is integrated into Black Magic DaVinci Resolve, Color Finale and 3DLut Creator for fast colour balancing.
• ColorChecker Video – The X-Rite ColorChecker Video is the ideal colour chart for those that require a larger colour reference chart. The A4-sized, two-sided target provides chromatic colour chips, skin tone chips and grey reference chips on one side, and a neutral white balance card on the other. It is perfect for pre-camera checks and exposure, multiple camera matching and wider filmmaker shots. ColorChecker Video is also supported by Black Magic DaVinci Resolve and 3DLUT Creator.
• i1 Filmmaker Kit – The i1Filmmaker Kit is a convenient kit of two essential colour tools from X-Rite: i1Display Pro and ColorChecker Passport Video. This kit creates a combined video package to achieve fast, efficient colour balancing for any video production, significantly saving time and money.

In addition, X-Rite and colour management experts will be on hand to answer questions, share their colour management or calibration knowledge and offer product demonstrations. Alongside the opportunity to talk to the experts, X-Rite will have impressive, show-only special offers available and there will also be the chance to enter their latest giveaway to win a 6 day, all-expenses paid trip to Naples & Amalfic Coast with Photo Workshop Adventures worth €5,000.
