Gravity Media Supports Global Broadcast And Streaming Operations

News Image
Gravity Media has delivered global broadcast distribution and streaming services for the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2026 in Dalian, China, supporting worldwide access to one of the organisation’s major international events.

Working alongside the World Economic Forum production team, Gravity Media provided critical infrastructure for content delivery and distribution throughout the event, which brought together leaders from business, government, academia and civil society to discuss innovation, technology and economic development.

Operations were managed from Gravity Media's facilities in Vilvoorde, Belgium, where a dedicated team from Gravity Media and DB Video oversaw the global distribution network responsible for delivering content across multiple platforms and languages.

The work forms part of a long-term multi-year partnership between Gravity Media and the World Economic Forum, under which the company provides world feed delivery, live streaming services, video-on-demand content, IPTV distribution and social media streaming for major Forum events around the world.

The partnership spans several key World Economic Forum gatherings, including events in Davos, Dalian, Dubai and the organisation’s autumn meetings in New York.

During the three-day event in Dalian, Gravity Media managed around 60 sessions while simultaneously processing and distributing up to five live sessions at any one time.

Central to the operation was Gravity Media's Live Centre in Vilvoorde, which enabled the delivery of live and video-on-demand streams across social platforms, IPTV and services in China. The system also integrated real-time processing, monitoring and transcoding capabilities.

A key component of the delivery was Webble-Cast, Gravity Media’s cloud-based media distribution platform developed through DB Video. The platform acted as the primary hub for ingesting, processing, managing and distributing both live and on-demand content.

The system incorporated a range of technologies and services including signal ingestion through SRT encoders, multilingual caption workflows through Syncwords integration, automatic cloud recording and archiving, AI-powered captioning capabilities, adaptive bitrate streaming up to Full HD, and automated video-on-demand conversion.

Gravity Media also implemented advanced AI language services to improve accessibility during the event, providing six additional subtitle languages for both online viewers and on-site IPTV audiences.

The deployment supported large-scale audience demands, processing approximately 50 terabytes of data throughout the event while accommodating as many as 10,000 simultaneous press viewers.

The project further highlights Gravity Media’s role in supporting large-scale international events through cloud-based production and distribution technologies designed to deliver reliable and multilingual content experiences to audiences around the world.
