AJA Video Systems Announces KONA IP25 Support for Colorfront Software on Windows

AJA Video Systems has announced KONA IP25 support for Colorfront Transkoder and On-Set Dailies software on Windows platforms. The integration allows production and post-production professionals utilizing AJA’s SMPTE ST 2110 I/O card and Colorfront’s software suite to leverage the advanced throughput of IP-based video networks, optimizing both local and remote dailies, transcoding, and real-time reference streaming.

Colorfront Transkoder is a high-performance mastering, processing, and delivery solution for post production pipelines with built-in reference quality streaming, while Colorfront On-set Dailies manages camera-original media from ingest through delivery. Paired with AJA’s KONA IP25 PCIe I/O card, which supports bidirectional uncompressed video over IP, these technologies provide a powerful solution for dailies, transcoding, and streaming over an ST 2110 network.
 
The integration can easily be accessed by installing KONA IP25 and launching Transkoder or On-Set Dailies. The software instantly recognizes the card, enabling Colorfront users to view and access KONA IP25’s settings from RGB to YUV, 4:4:4 12-bit, and beyond.
