La Chaîne Météo Upgrades Broadcast Operations With Actus Digital Deployment

Actus Digital, a LiveU company and provider of intelligent media monitoring and broadcast compliance platforms, has announced the successful deployment of its solution for French television network La Chaîne Météo.

La Chaîne Météo is operated by METEO CONSULT, France's leading private meteorological company and part of the Figaro Group. The organisation runs a range of services including the 24/7 Canal+ weather channel, several websites, mobile applications for iOS and Android, and an interactive voice service.

The broadcaster sought a modern, automated replacement for its ageing 15-year-old standard-definition system in order to support its continuously updated broadcast operations and streamlined production team.

According to the company, the newly installed Actus platform has been integrated with the network’s Active Directory infrastructure, allowing secure connectivity with internal servers, while APIs are being used for automated media extraction workflows.

The deployment enables La Chaîne Météo to meet mandatory compliance recording requirements while also introducing a new archiving capability that automatically stores full news bulletins whenever editions are updated throughout the day.
