Arkona Technologies and Manifold to Showcase Software-Defined Solutions

News Image
Arkona Technologies, alongside its technology partner manifold, has announced it will demonstrate its software-defined, FPGA-accelerated live production portfolio at BroadcastAsia 2026 (Booth 5D1-1, Magna Systems & Engineering stand). The joint showcase will spotlight their combined "EASY-IP" turnkey offering, which pairs arkona's BLADE//runner routing and audio processing platform with the manifold CLOUD architecture for multiviewing and graphics. Visitors will also get a first look at major platform upgrades launched this year, including the BLADE//planner offline configuration tool, high-bandwidth memory (HBM) FrameSyncs for seamless SDI-to-IP migration, and newly integrated AutoMix functionality.

Through trusted implementation partners on the ground at BroadcastAsia, arkona will be demonstrating their BLADE//runner platform, which provides ultra-low latency AV routing, gatewaying, frame synchronisation, and advanced audio processing on FPGA-accelerated AT300 blades. Visitors will also be able to see technology partner manifold’s ‘manifold CLOUD’ solution, which provides complementary multiviewer, UDX and graphics insertion.

The two companies are founded on the same shared philosophy: that the future of production lies in the direction of software-defined technology, and that through this it is possible to deliver flexibility, scalability, and deterministic performance. When combined together in their joint ‘EASY-IP offering’, users benefit from a turnkey IP solution that seamlessly interoperates with legacy control surfaces while unlocking software-defined flexibility, dramatically simplifying the migration from traditional router infrastructures to fully IP-based system.

As well as demonstrating the fundamental capabilities of the BLADE//runner, arkona will use their presence on the Magna booth to demonstrate the impressive new upgrades that have launched on the platform this year. That includes BLADE//planner, a graphical tool that allows offline configuration of entire system architectures, abstracting complex signal flows while still giving expert access to over a million controllable parameters via their open API. Also on show will be the workflow enhancements made to their Video Switcher soft panel and the newly released AutoMix functionality, as well as direct support for hardkey router panels within the EASY-IP solution. On the processing side, new HBM-based FrameSyncs improve synchronisation of SDI sources entering IP workflows, while Video ID insertion simplifies flow tracing across large systems. This comprehensive suite of upgrades all aims to improve the functionality, capacity and usability of the system.

Beyond the field of broadcast, arkona will present key case studies of their role within some of the world’s largest enterprise and E-sports deployments. These examples demonstrate the capacity to scale from Tier-1 live sports to corporate media facilities and competitive gaming tournaments - all on the same underlying architecture.

Furthermore, a key theme for BroadcastAsia will be the role of collaboration in the industry, an idea that is entirely echoed through manifold's recent integration into NEP’s new Platform: a software orchestration system that unifies multi-vendor production applications on shared COTS compute.

Wiggo Evensen, Sales and Partner Manager at arkona technologies, commented: "The importance of collaboration is evolving rapidly in the Asia Pacific region, where broadcasters and enterprises alike need infrastructure that scales without constant rebuilding. Our work with partners like Magna shows what's possible when system integrators commit to innovation and multi-vendor collaboration. The region is ready for software-defined production, and we're here to deliver it".

Patrick So, Director for Asia Pacific Operations at Magna Systems & Engineering, added: "The Magna Systems stand at BroadcastAsia will serve as a gathering place for Asia's broadcast, media and entertainment professionals, providing a platform where the industry's key players can converge to understand how MAGNA is helping build the future broadcast stack. It's an exciting time to be in the Asia Pacific industry".
