Arkona To Showcase Broadcast-Grade, Low-Latency Infrastructure For Esports
Arkona technologies GmbH will use ISE (Booth 5.K800) to highlight the growing adoption of its ultra-low-latency, software-defined media infrastructure beyond traditional broadcast, with esports and large-scale gaming production emerging as a significant growth area.
As live gaming events increasingly combine broadcast-grade production values with IT-centric workflows, arkona’s FPGA-accelerated platforms are being positioned to deliver the scale, flexibility and predictable low-latency performance required for some of the most complex real-time productions in the world.
During ISE, visitors will be able to discuss a range of projects delivered by arkona in collaboration with technology partner manifold throughout 2025, spanning broadcast, IT, enterprise and, increasingly, esports applications. Among the most notable deployments was a comprehensive solution for one of the world’s largest annual esports championships. The event draws a global audience and operates at a high level of production complexity.
The solution used five FPGA-based COTS accelerator cards to power a high-density HTML5 graphics generation and insertion workflow. It supported more than 200 unique input sources and drove over 80 output monitor heads, enabling production teams to maintain full situational awareness across a fast-moving competitive environment while delivering consistent, frame-accurate performance throughout the event.
In parallel, arkona and manifold also supported another major international competitive gaming tournament with a compact multiviewer solution capable of generating ten live previews from a single COTS server accelerator. The deployment demonstrated how high-density monitoring and ultra-low-latency processing can be achieved without large, fixed hardware footprints—an important consideration in esports environments where flexibility and rapid redeployment are essential.
At ISE, these gaming-focused deployments will be shown alongside arkona's broader portfolio, including the BLADE//runner platform and manifold CLOUD. Together, the solutions provide a software-defined foundation for routing, processing and multiviewing across broadcast, ProAV, IT and gaming workflows, supporting everything from compact studio installations to globally distributed live productions.
Commenting on the esports focus at ISE, Aleksei Shevchenko, CEO of manifold technologies GmbH, said: "These events represent the very top tier of live gaming production, where scale, speed and reliability are non-negotiable. What makes these deployments stand out is not just the sheer number of sources and outputs involved, but the consistency and responsiveness the platform delivers under intense operational pressure."
He continued: "ISE is the ideal venue to show how arkona and manifold technologies are enabling esports producers to apply broadcast-grade precision within modern, IT-driven environments. The fact that our solutions are now trusted for some of the world’s most significant gaming events underlines how broadly applicable this technology has become - and how well it aligns with the future of live production across industries."
