Arkona To Showcase IP Media Infrastructure Beyond Broadcast
Arkona technologies GmbH will highlight how its ultra-low-latency, high-density IP processing solutions are being adopted outside traditional broadcast environments when it exhibits at ISE on Booth 5.K800.
At the show, the company will present a series of case studies demonstrating how the same software-defined media infrastructure used by broadcasters is now being embraced by major IT-led, ProAV and enterprise technology organisations.
One of the featured projects is a recent deployment at a client's Los Angeles facility, where arkona worked with technology partner manifold to deliver a complex IP system based on 24 AT300 Programmable Acceleration Cards. The installation supports extensive video and audio processing, including a manifold multiviewer and UDX processing handling more than 250 unique input sources across 54 UHD monitor outputs, alongside 64 simultaneous up, down and cross-conversion services. The system was implemented in conjunction with two leading providers of switching and orchestration, with manifold multiviewers powered by FPGA accelerator cards across three servers. Following its success, the same architecture is now being replicated at the client’s London studio for podcast and content production.
According to arkona, the project illustrates why organisations beyond the broadcast sector are increasingly selecting arkona and manifold solutions for large-scale IP media workflows. Key requirements included native support for 2160p at 23.98p, high audio processing capacity, and built-in PTP and MSC capabilities for stage-box connectivity, combined with the density and flexibility of the manifold multiviewer platform.
Visitors to the stand will also be able to see arkona's broader product portfolio, including BLADE//runner, the company’s flagship software-defined platform for routing, processing and signal management across SDI and ST 2110 infrastructures. Solutions from manifold will also be on display, including manifold CLOUD, which brings ultra-low-latency multiviewing, conversion and processing to virtualised and distributed environments.
Commenting on the company's presence at ISE, Rainer Sturm, CEO of arkona technologies GmbH, said: "ISE is an important opportunity for us to show that the challenges faced by broadcasters are increasingly shared by enterprise and IT organisations producing large volumes of high-quality content. Our solutions are designed to deliver the same reliable, predictable outputs regardless of source fluctuations, and regardless of whether they are deployed in a broadcast centre, a corporate studio or a global content hub."
He added: "Working with technology partner manifold, we are proud to see our platforms being adopted by some of the world’s largest and most demanding organisations. These deployments underline that arkona is no longer a niche broadcast specialist, but a trusted infrastructure provider for large-scale, IP-based media operations across multiple industries."
