Magewell Unveils Next-Generation AV-Over-IP Solutions

Magewell is advancing its next generation of AV-over-IP solutions designed to enhance flexibility, performance and interoperability across modern media workflows.

Leading the range is the new Pro Convert IP to HDMI multi-format decoder, the successor to the widely adopted Pro Convert for NDI to HDMI. It can decode up to four IP streams at once and output them to a single HDMI display via an integrated multiviewer, making it well suited to monitoring, control rooms and live production. For output layouts, both Pro Convert IP to HDMI and Pro Convert IP to AIO 4K support single, dual (picture-in-picture) and quad views.

The company is also highlighting its wider IP workflow ecosystem, including the Pro Convert IP to AIO 4K. This versatile unit converts between IP streams and SDI/HDMI signals at up to 4K resolution, offering flexibility for hybrid or fully IP-based productions. A new decoder expected in May will introduce bi-directional conversion.

Across the Pro Convert family, Magewell continues to bridge traditional AV systems with IP infrastructures, supporting NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX2, NDI HX3, and H.264/H.265 streams delivered via SRT, RTMP, RTSP, RIST and HLS. Expanded integration with Zixi further streamlines connectivity, enabling seamless incorporation of Zixi streams into existing workflows.

The Pro Convert IP to HDMI delivers improved decoding performance, greater input capacity and a redesigned web interface for simpler configuration and monitoring. Its compact, standalone design with PoE and intuitive controls makes it a fit for use cases ranging from broadcast and live events to security and command-and-control environments.

Beyond decoding and multiview, the device can output an on-screen display and features physical navigation buttons, allowing users to access settings, switch between streams and manage configurations directly on the unit—particularly useful in live or time-critical scenarios requiring immediate, hands-on control.
