Magewell To Unveil Pro Convert IP To HDMI Decoder

News Image
Magewell will debut its new Pro Convert IP to HDMI multi-format decoder at ISE 2026.
The device is the successor to the company’s popular Pro Convert for NDI to HDMI and converts up to four IP input streams into a single HDMI output via an integrated multiviewer.

The Pro Convert product family is known for bridging traditional and IP-based media workflows, converting between AV signals and IP sources including NDI® High Bandwidth, NDI HX2/HX3, and streams delivered via SRT, RTMP, RTSP, HLS, MPEG-TS, and more. The new IP to HDMI model builds on the versatility and reliability of previous Pro Convert devices with enhanced decoding, higher input counts, a more intuitive web interface, and integrated multiviewing. Magewell has also expanded integration with Zixi, allowing users to pull Zixi streams directly into workflows.

The standalone decoder supports up to four IP streams in a single HDR10-compatible QHD (2560x1440) HDMI output. Decoded inputs can be displayed in single, dual, or quad layouts using the integrated multiviewer. In single-view mode, the device decodes one stream up to 2560x1440 at 60fps; in multi-view mode, it handles up to four 1080p60 streams. Video preview is available via real-time streams or MJPEG thumbnails through the improved web GUI.

"The Pro Convert IP to HDMI is the first in a series of enhanced AV over IP solutions that represent a major milestone for Magewell," said James Liu, VP of Engineering at Magewell. "Improved with a number of client-requested features that demonstrate our continued commitment to the AV over IP market, these advances will power an expanding AV ecosystem based on our centralised device and stream management while offering seamless interoperability with solutions from our growing list of partners such as Zixi."

Designed for applications including broadcast, security/surveillance, command and control, and general production monitoring, the decoder is powered via PoE/PoE+ or USB, with an additional USB port for peripherals such as keyboard or mouse. A new rotary dial simplifies menu navigation, while the enhanced interface provides easy access to setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools.

The Pro Convert IP to HDMI is scheduled to ship in Q1 2026. ISE 2026 attendees can explore the new device and Magewell’s full lineup at stand 5E800, showcasing solutions designed to meet the performance and quality demands of today's AV environments.
