AgileTV Powers LIWEST's Next-Generation IPTV Platform In Austria

AgileTV, a leading provider of end-to-end television technology solutions, has partnered with Austrian telecom operator LIWEST to launch 'next', a new IPTV platform that represents the company's first deployment in the DACH market.

The platform introduces a new generation of TV services, blending traditional broadcasting with streaming capabilities and app-based entertainment to deliver a flexible, personalised, and advanced viewing experience. It offers premium TV channels through a fully integrated, user-friendly interface, super aggregation capabilities, an open content system that enables the integration of third-party platforms, and full regionalisation to tailor content to local audiences.

"We are strengthening our presence in the DACH market with the 'next' IPTV platform launch alongside our partner LIWEST. It proofs the competitiveness and scalability of the AgileTV operating model and allows us to continue to grow and bring high-quality TV experiences to new audiences around the globe," said Koldo Unanue, CEO of AgileTV.

"The collaboration with AgileTV marks an important step in the ongoing development of our television infrastructure," added Dr. Stefan Gintenreiter, Managing Director of LIWEST. "With 'next', we are reinforcing our commitment to excellence in television together with AgileTV, and alongside our internet and telephony services."

The 'next' TV-as-a-Service platform will be available to new customers immediately and will gradually migrate LIWEST’s existing TV subscribers starting February 2027. Built on a robust, secure, and highly available infrastructure powered by certified green energy, the platform ensures compliance with high data protection standards while enabling a smooth transition from legacy systems.

The solution combines linear TV and OTT services, with full integration of Android TV applications and an enhanced channel offering. Its modern interface supports personalised navigation and advanced functionality, delivering a seamless multi-device experience across iOS and Android mobile devices as well as major TV ecosystems including Android TV, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV Stick, and Samsung Smart TVs (TIZEN).
