AgileTV Supports LIWEST's 'Next' IPTV Rollout In Austria

AgileTV, a provider of end-to-end TV technology, has deployed 'next', the new IPTV platform from Austrian operator LIWEST, marking the company's first step into the DACH region.

The service blends traditional broadcast with streaming and app-based entertainment to deliver a flexible and personalised TV experience. It offers premium channels via a single, integrated interface, super-aggregation features, an open content architecture for third‑party integrations, and full regionalisation to tailor line-ups to local markets.

"We are strengthening our presence in the DACH market with the 'next' IPTV platform launch alongside with our partner LIWEST. It proofs the competitiveness and scalability of the AgileTV operating model and allows us to continue to grow and bring high-quality TV experiences to new audiences around the globe," said Koldo Unanue, CEO of AgileTV.

"The collaboration with AgileTV marks an important step in the ongoing development of our television infrastructure," said Dr. Stefan Gintenreiter, Managing Director of LIWEST. "With 'next', we are reinforcing our commitment to excellence in television together with AgileTV, and alongside our internet and telephony services."

The TV-as-a-Service platform will be available to new customers first, with a gradual migration of LIWEST's existing TV subscribers planned for February 2027. It runs on a robust, secure and highly available infrastructure that meets stringent data protection standards and is powered by certified green energy, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy systems and underscoring AgileTV’s capacity to deliver scalable, next‑generation TV services for operators.

'next' unifies linear TV and OTT services through full integration with Android TV applications and an enhanced channel line-up. A modern interface supports personalised navigation and advanced features, while a seamless multi-device experience extends across iOS and Android mobiles, Android TV, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV Stick and Samsung Smart TVs (Tizen).
