LYNX Technik Unveils New 4-Channel 12G-SDI Fiber Converters

News Image
LYNX Technik has debuted a new generation of 4-channel 12G-SDI fiber converter yellobriks at ISE 2026, expanding its portfolio of modular signal processing solutions for broadcast, post-production and professional AV.

The company is exhibiting the new products alongside its long-standing Spanish partner Craltech on Booth 5J300, where visitors can see the latest additions to the yellobrik range.

Designed to deliver higher signal density in compact and robust enclosures, the new yellobriks are available in both 3G-SDI and 12G-SDI variants, supporting HD, 2K, Ultra HD and 4K workflows. The range includes transmitters, receivers, transceivers and single-fiber solutions, all offering four independent SDI channels within a space-efficient form factor.

All models fit within 2RU and can be equipped with standard 1310 nm or CWDM SFPs. High-power transmitters and high-sensitivity receivers are also available to meet demanding optical budget requirements. Building on the success of LYNX Technik’s established dual-channel fiber converters, the new modules double channel capacity while maintaining the company’s reputation for reliability.

The 4-channel yellobriks are aimed at high-density signal transport applications such as mobile production, live events, stadiums, campuses, broadcast facilities and OB vans, where space, weight and cabling efficiency are critical. Each channel is fully independent and auto-reclocked, allowing different video formats to be transported simultaneously with low latency and high signal integrity.

"Broadcasters and AV professionals continue to demand higher channel density and greater flexibility in their fiber infrastructure," said Vincent Noyer, CTO, LYNX Technik AG. "With these new 4-channel yellobriks, we are giving customers a compact and cost-effective way to move more signals over fiber links, while maintaining the performance and reliability they expect from LYNX Technik."

Like all yellobrik modules, the new models can be used as standalone devices or integrated into the RFR 1200 rack frame to benefit from redundant power options. Their rugged design and simple deployment make them suitable for both permanent installations and temporary field applications.

The new 4-channel 12G-SDI fiber converters will be available from February 1, 2026 through LYNX Technik's global distribution network. They can be seen at ISE 2026 on Stand 5J300 at Fira de Barcelona.
