NUGEN Audio Unveils MasterCheck 2 Ahead Of NAMM 2026
NUGEN Audio has announced the latest evolution of its industry-standard optimization plug-in with the release of MasterCheck 2.
The updated version expands on the original tool's role in cross-platform mastering and loudness verification, addressing the growing demands of modern production workflows that range from stereo streaming to immersive audio delivery. The company will showcase the new release publicly at NAMM 2026 (Music Marketing, Booth 16300).
MasterCheck has become a trusted solution for audio engineers seeking to understand how loudness normalization and data compression will impact a mix or master before it reaches listeners. By enabling reference to industry-standard loudness measurements such as Integrated Loudness, True Peak, PLR and PSR, the plug-in helps engineers strike the right balance between perceived loudness and musical dynamics, reducing the risk of unexpected changes caused by platform encoding or normalisation.
With MasterCheck 2, NUGEN Audio has significantly expanded the plug-in’s capabilities to support up to 7.1.4 channel configurations. This added functionality makes the tool suitable for immersive and surround sound workflows, including Dolby Atmos beds and other 3D audio formats. The update allows engineers to apply the same level of consistency and confidence to immersive productions as they have traditionally expected when mastering for stereo platforms.
