ITV Studios And TVNZ Extend Long-Running Content Partnership

ITV Studios and New Zealand's largest television network, TVNZ, have renewed their long-standing exclusive content partnership in a multi-year agreement.

The deal ensures TVNZ will continue to broadcast ITV Studios' extensive catalogue of drama, non-scripted, and entertainment programming to New Zealand audiences.

Under the renewed agreement, TVNZ retains exclusive first-look access to upcoming scripted and non-scripted programmes. The deal guarantees that popular long-running shows, including Coronation Street, Emmerdale, and The Chase, will remain available to Kiwi viewers.

A key component of the renewal is a commitment to the Love Island franchise, covering Love Island UK, Love Island USA, Love Island Australia, as well as spin-offs Love Island Games and Love Island All Stars, ensuring New Zealand audiences have access to the full Love Island universe.

Over the past decade, TVNZ has acquired approximately 13,000 hours of content from ITV Studios. Recent premium scripted acquisitions include The Forsytes (Mammoth Screen), The Hack (AC Chapter One and One Shoe Films), The Guest (Quay Street Productions), and Coldwater (SISTER). Other notable acquisitions include Code of Silence (Mammoth Screen), season two of Ludwig (Big Talk Studios), and season two of Piglets (Monicker Pictures). Upcoming 2026 titles include Run, a high-octane 1980s/90s crime drama from Warner Bros. International Television Production Australia, and Missed Call, an investigative thriller from Pernel Media.

From ITV Studios' non-scripted catalogue, TVNZ recently secured shows including the age-gap reality travel series Worlds Apart (South Shore), the documentary Poisoned (Wonderhood Studios), entertainment series Shark: Celebrity Infested Waters (Plimsoll Productions), and the fast-paced quiz show Time is Money (South Shore). Additional acquisitions include new series of Unbelievable Moments Caught on Camera (MultiStory Media) and Parents Evening (Ranga Bee Productions).

The renewed agreement reinforces TVNZ's position as the home of premium international entertainment in New Zealand, providing audiences with a broad mix of established favourites and new content across drama, reality, and entertainment genres.
