'Love Island USA' To Return For Second Series
'Love Island USA' has been renewed for second season in 2020.
The American version of the hit UK reality show sees a group of single 'Islanders' come together in a stunning tropical villa, ready to embark on a summer of love, friendships and, ultimately, relationships. Every few days the Islanders must couple-up – those who fail to find a partner to couple up with risk being dumped from the island.
The first season of Love Island USA is currently airing on CBS, with the finale set for Wednesday 07 August.
Despite poor ratings, President of CBS Entertainment, Kelly Kahl is excited to bring the show back to US viewers next year.
"The passion of Love Island's audience is incredible," said Kahl. "The intensity of their social media engagement has created tremendous enthusiasm for the series here at the Network. We love the show's creative execution and can't wait for next season."
Thom Sherman, Senior Executive Vice President, Programming, CBS Entertainment, hopes Love Island USA will go the same way as the UK version, exploding via word of mouth and social media to become a huge hit.
