Fremantle UK Appoints Head Of Digital And Branded Content

Fremantle UK has appointed Adam Middleton as Head of Digital and Branded Content, leading a newly established division aimed at driving digital innovation and commercial growth across the company.

In his new role, Middleton will strengthen Fremantle UK's digital and commercial strategy, ensuring that digital-first thinking remains central to the company’s approach. He will work across the media, creative, and brand landscape to foster collaboration and innovation, opening new opportunities for growth.

The company's digital production arm will report to Middleton and be led by Jamie Crossan, who assumes the newly created role of Head of Digital Production, Fremantle UK. Crossan's team has achieved notable success on projects including Britain’s Got Talent, Blankety Blank, and Too Hot To Handle.

Middleton will also oversee the ongoing evolution of Fremantle UK's commercial strategy, driving diversification beyond traditional production models and reinforcing the company’s position as a leading creative partner for media owners and brands looking to deliver impactful content across all platforms.

Middleton joins Fremantle UK from Channel 4, where he led creative strategy within the sales team with a focus on digital-first branded entertainment. He played a key role in developing Channel 4’s multi-award-winning social branded entertainment offering and collaborated extensively with brands, agencies, digital commissioners, and production companies.

He was also an early recruit to 4Studio, contributing to new channel launches including 4.0 and Channel 4 Served. Prior to Channel 4, Middleton held creative and commercial strategy roles at LADbible Group, Brave Bison, Social Chain, and worked in creator marketing and digital content at Publicis.
