ARRI And HONOR Unveil Co-Branded Magic9 Pro Max

News Image
ARRI and HONOR have advanced their Cinematic Imaging Partnership with the debut of the HONOR Magic9 Pro Max, the first flagship in the collaboration to feature ARRI branding on both the handset and its packaging.

The device integrates selected elements of ARRI Image Science, bringing professional-grade colour management and looks to HONOR’s mobile line-up.

Building on the recently introduced HONOR Robot Phone, the Magic9 Pro Max takes the relationship into HONOR’s premium Magic Series. The handset expands access to ARRI Looks and opens up the ARRI Look Library, broadening the presence of ARRI Image Science across HONOR’s imaging portfolio.

A key differentiator of the Magic9 Pro Max is the physical expression of the partnership: ARRI logos appear on the device and its box, with a bespoke, miniaturised ARRI mark positioned next to the camera array. The result is not only a technology integration but a visible, co-branded statement linking ARRI’s professional heritage to HONOR’s flagship platform.

Within a mobile cinema workflow, the Magic9 Pro Max incorporates elements of ARRI Image Science spanning capture, colour management, real-time preview and finishing. Native ARRI LogC3 recording in the ARRI Wide Gamut 3 colour space is designed to retain more usable highlight, shadow and colour detail for post, while ARRI Looks allow creators to preview distinctive styles at the point of capture.

The device pairs dual 200MP cameras with the HONOR Imaging Chip H1 and supports APV 10-bit 4:2:2 recording, cinematic video functions and a cinematic directional microphone. Optional creation accessories include the HONOR Teleconverter G200, HONOR Teleconverter G500 and the HONOR SmallRig Mobile Video Kit, helping maintain a consistent path from mobile acquisition to professional post-production.

The release aligns with ARRI's growth in Content Creation alongside its established Motion Picture and Live Entertainment businesses. As mobile devices become central to brand communications, social content, documentaries and everyday storytelling, the collaboration aims to blend speed and accessibility with cinematic quality.

The HONOR Magic9 Pro Max will roll out first in China, with additional markets to follow shortly. HONOR will share product specifications, pricing, colour variants, memory configurations, channel availability and further market details in due course.
