Hiltron To Promote Full Range Of Satellite Communications Products
Hiltron Communications is to promote its full range of satellite communications products and related services at Space Tech Expo Europe in Bremen.
Hiltron will exhibit on stand E21 in co-operation with the German Center for Satellite-Communications (DeSK) association.
Established in 2015, Space Tech Expo Europe has grown from 100 exhibitors to over 950 exhibitors, making its Europe’s largest B2B event for the space industry. The exhibition and its supporting conference will this year be held from Tuesday 18 through Thursday 20 November in halls 4, 5, 6, 7 and 4.1 of the Messe Bremen.
Building on over 45 years of experience Hiltron will promote its services as a satellite systems integrator with a large portfolio of own-design satcom equipment including the Hiltron Motorized Antenna Mount (HMAM), Hiltron Motorised Polarmount Antennas (HMAM-PM), Hiltron Antenna Control Unit (HACU), Hiltron Redundancy & Monitoring Unit (HRMU), Hiltron De-icing Control Unit (HDCU) and Hiltron Monitoring & Control System (HMCS-MCR).
Recent systems-related activity includes Hiltron’s choice as technology partner in the construction, delivery and integration of three offset batwing satellite antenna systems which will be used to monitor the performance of newly launched satellites from various sites around the world. Each incorporates a Hiltron-developed 3.8 metre fully steerable multiband receive/transmit antenna system based on a Challenger Communications reflector plus a Hiltron HMAM motorized antenna mount. The Challenger 3.8 metre batwing is a particularly good choice of antenna as it has a long focal length giving excellent sidelobe rejection. Also incorporated into each of the new installations is a 4U Hiltron HACUX-IDU remote control panel which allows all parameters of the HACU to be accessed via an integral touchscreen with a browser-style display. The HMAM/HACU system and the use of true-angle indicators allow reliable and accurate positioning far beyond the stability of commercial-grade actuator devices.
An HMAM-XY-based system has also been provided to a leading German research organisation. The mount is equipped with a 2.4 metre antenna and will be used for various applications including the advancement of technology related to LEO/MEO/SmallSat constellations. HMAM-XY is designed to provide stable transmit/receive links to GEO, MEO, LEO, smallsat satellite constellations, polar-orbit satellites and UAV drones. HMAM-XY offers fast tracking speed and rapid acceleration with accurate pointing and tracking, including low backlash and full hemispheric coverage with no zenith keyholes.
