Tieline Unveils Major ViA Codec Firmware Update
Tieline has announced the release of firmware v3.12.10 for its ViA codec, introducing a suite of major new features designed to improve performance, flexibility, and security for broadcast users worldwide.
The update includes several key enhancements such as unique default passwords, redundant SIP streams, and sessionless redundancy, providing greater resilience and protection for live audio links. Users can now also group Tielink contacts, utilise RTSP programs, and benefit from EQ and Dynamics processing on both decodes and inputs.
Additional features include Ember+ Logical GPIO support, write protection for loaded programs, and the ability to restrict front-panel program edits for basic users — further strengthening control and workflow security.
"There are many functional changes that improve usability of the ViA in this significant release," said Charlie Gawley, VP Sales APAC/EMEA. "Customers have requested SIP redundant streaming support, Ember+ LIO support, as well as improved password management features. These features are delivered and much more."
