RG Jones Sound Engineering Announces Restructure Of Pro Audio Division

As RG Jones Sound Engineering prepares to celebrate its 100th anniversary, the company has unveiled a major restructure of its Pro Audio Division, marking the next stage in its ongoing evolution.

The move follows a period of strategic review and investment, aimed at strengthening both its technical capabilities and its team as it looks to the future.

The restructure sees the appointment of Sam Brazier and Ricky Spiers as Project Managers within the Pro Audio Division, alongside continued investment in the company's audio inventory. The changes were driven by Commercial Manager Sam Thomas, who joined RG Jones in November 2024 and has since led a review of operations to enhance agility, efficiency, and adaptability within an ever-changing live sound industry.

With his broad corporate perspective, Thomas has been focused on aligning the company's heritage with its future ambitions — developing a business model that embraces new technology while bringing together experienced professionals and emerging talent to address industry-wide skills challenges.

"Looking at the last 20 years, RG Jones has enjoyed some spectacular success stories, so we chose to examine the company along that timeframe and decide how to better that," Thomas explained. "With a company this established, we can talk in life-cycles, so we decided that I would watch an entire calendar cycle and take note. This approach has afforded us both a short term and longer-term perspective: we know we have to change to keep moving forward, but it is how we predict and react to challenges that will define our success."

Brazier, a theatrically trained engineer with extensive touring and West End experience, brings expertise in delivering complex, detail-driven audio systems. After freelancing with RG Jones, he now joins full-time to help drive the company’s next phase of growth.

"Following the time spent freelancing with the team, stepping into a full-time role feels like a natural next step," Brazier said. "I'm excited to keep pushing boundaries on some of the UK's biggest events and be part of the next chapter for RG Jones."

Spiers, who has worked with RG Jones for nearly a decade as a freelancer on major projects, will now oversee the day-to-day running of the Pro Audio Division.
