Follow-Me Announces 3D Fundamentals Training Workshop

Follow-Me has announced that Technical Applications Specialist Henk-jan Blok will lead a comprehensive Follow-Me 3D Fundamentals training workshop at LDI 2025, supported by Chris Lose, Designer Relations Liaison North America.

The training will feature at LDI 2025 as part of the LDInstitute Courses, taking place from December 3-9 in Las Vegas. The company invites industry professionals to register for this hands-on learning experience, and visit booth #2329 in partnership with AC Americas.

With over two decades of hands-on experience in live production and systems engineering, Blok brings invaluable expertise to this training session. At Follow-Me, he acts as a vital bridge between real-world projects and the development team, translating practical needs into smart technical solutions while ensuring seamless integration of Follow-Me's tracking systems across system design, commissioning, training, support, and on-site deployment. Blok will be joined by Chris Lose, Designer Relations Liaison North America, who will also be on hand to provide support.

The Follow-Me 3D Fundamentals training workshop will provide participants with practical, hands-on experience with the Follow-Me 3D manual performer tracking system. Attendees will learn how to prepare, setup, calibrate, fine-tune and integrate a Follow-Me 3D system, while also exploring real-world use cases that highlight how performer tracking technology enhances creative possibilities and overall workflow. An initial glimpse of Follow-Me Track-iT automated performer tracking will also be shown.

Participants will discover how to track multiple performers with one setup, troubleshoot effectively, and apply industry best practices. The course is ideal for lighting designers, lighting programmers, technicians, follow-spot operators, and production managers involved in planning and executing live productions.

The Follow-Me system is independent from any fixture manufacturer and can control any lighting fixture that can pan and tilt. Fixtures can be used not only as follow-spots, but also as general lighting and effects, while multiple fixtures can be allocated per performer using a single system. With Follow-Me Track-iT, users have access to a live view of the tracking area via the camera feed for both manual and automated operation, and can switch seamlessly between manual and automated performer tracking.

Follow-Me's performer tracking solutions have been trusted by productions and venues worldwide, including recent high-profile tours such as Ed Sheeran, Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, Imagine Dragons, Kane Brown, and Diana Ross's Sacred Memories Tour, as well as permanent installations like Walnut Street Theater in Philadelphia.

Along with the training workshop, attendees are invited to visit Follow-Me at AC Americas booth #2329 during the show, where there will be opportunities to discuss how these cutting-edge technologies can create immersive, meaningful experiences for their next project.

"We want to bring more than just an innovative performer tracking system; we want to enable creativity, power experiences, and facilitate the next generation of live performances with our tracking solutions," said Blok. "Our LDI training workshop provides the perfect opportunity to share that knowledge and interact with our users."
