Follow-Me Unveils DELT∆ Next-Generation Manual Performer Tracking System
Follow-Me has announced the launch of Follow-Me DELT∆, the latest generation of its manual performer tracking system, introducing significant hardware and software enhancements designed to meet the evolving demands of modern live productions.
The new system will be presented at ISE from 3–6 February.
Building on the established Follow-Me 3D platform, DELT∆ has been developed in direct response to user feedback as productions continue to grow in scale, creative ambition and technical complexity. The system has been redesigned to support improved collaboration between lighting, audio and video departments, streamline setup workflows and deliver greater operational precision across productions of all sizes.
At the heart of Follow-Me DELT∆ is a newly designed licensed rack server featuring increased processing power and multiple EtherCON ports. This architecture enables separate network streams for video and control data, improving performance and reliability. The system now ships with a 4K camera set, delivering low-latency video over the network and providing operators with significantly sharper and more detailed views of performers.
A major innovation within the DELT∆ system is the introduction of the Follow-Me DELT∆ Operator Box. This compact, PoE-powered device provides each operator with a dedicated view of the tracking area, complete with individual zoom and target control. The design allows operators to remain fully focused on their assigned performer without distraction, even when tracking multiple targets within the same system.
The Operator Box also allows users to customise their on-screen information, displaying only relevant data such as target intensity, beam size and zOffset either adjacent to the target or positioned within the screen. Operator messages can be sent directly from Follow-Me DELT∆ or the lighting console to individual Operator Boxes, ensuring critical information reaches the intended recipient without disrupting other operators.
Follow-Me DELT∆ retains all established system features, including masking, proximity and continuous beam size, while introducing a wide range of new capabilities and refinements. Among these is the new Advanced Zoning feature, which allows designers to trigger mappings, enable or fade fixtures, mute tags and automate system behaviour based on performer position. Zones can be defined using circles, rectangles or complex polygons, opening up new creative possibilities for show designers.
Another key addition is BeamMap, which ensures consistent fixture intensity, beam size and focus across the entire performance area. The system automatically adjusts parameters as performers move, making it particularly valuable for productions that require a uniform visual appearance across the stage.
Operational visibility has also been enhanced through the new Show Status Window, which provides configurable widgets for real-time system diagnostics, DMX activity and camera status information. This gives technicians clear insight during both pre-show setup and live operation.
Workflow and setup improvements include MVR import functionality, enabling fixture positions, universes and patching data to be imported instantly, alongside enhanced CSV patching tools that support the simultaneous patching of multiple fixtures. In total, more than 100 interface and workflow improvements have been implemented to make system operation faster and more intuitive.
With DELT∆, Follow-Me is reinforcing its commitment to delivering future-proof tracking solutions that support creative freedom, technical precision and efficient workflows for today’s increasingly complex live productions.
