Hiltron Highlights Satcom System Integration and Advances at IBC 2025

Hiltron has reported significant visitor interest in its extensive portfolio of satellite communication products, system integration capabilities, and associated services presented throughout the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) at the Amsterdam RAI from Friday, 12 September 2025 to Monday, 15 September 2025.

The central focus of Hiltron's exhibition was the HMAM-XY motorised antenna mount, which, having been introduced as a prototype at IBC 2024, is now in full production.

Centrepiece of Hiltron's exhibit was the HMAM-XY motorised antenna mount, introduced in prototype at IBC 2024 and now in full production. Hiltron also promoted its expanding range of satcom control, monitoring and antenna de-icing technology plus the Premium Line D-SNG platform.

"Following a well-attended GovSatCom and its near-namesake GoSatCom, IBC remains a well-timed event attracting major broadcasters and broadcast-related telco service providers from many countries," comments Hiltron Communications managing director Antonio Monteverde. "System integration continues to be the core element of successful ground station operation, ensuring fully co-ordinated monitoring, control and long-term reliability in all weather conditions."

"HMAM-XY attracted very strong interest for its ability to provide stable transmit/receive links to LEO, MEO, smallsat satellite constellations and drones as well as traditional geostationary satellites. Combining unsurpassed versatility, robust construction and high precision performance, it accommodates parabolic reflectors and planar antennas of up to 3 metres diameter, operating in L, S, C, X, Ku and Ka band with circular or linear polarisation. Other key features include fast tracking speed with low backlash and full hemispheric coverage with no zenith keyhole."

"We also promoted our satcom system upgrade capabilities including 3D laser scanning and evaluation of teleport antennas. This resource is far more accurate than the commonly used photogrammetry technique and can be conducted without interrupting the subject antenna's operating schedule. Customers gain a detailed evaluation report on the performance of each antenna. Where follow-on attention is needed, Hiltron has the industry-proven ability to upgrade existing antennas for operation at higher frequencies as well as in the lower bands. This allows channel capacity to be increased without needing investment in new antennas, support equipment and controllers. Replacing legacy satcom system devices with Hiltron-developed solutions often results in our hallmark better-than-new level of performance combined with greater operational efficiency."
