Nebrija University Selects AEQ

Antonio de Nebrija University, in its commitment to technological innovation in education, has once again placed its trust in Spanish company AEQ to equip the radio studios at its new San Francisco de Sales Campus, home to the Faculty of Communication and Art.
This project has been developed as a turnkey solution, fully adapted to the university’s current and future needs.
AEQ, based in Leganés and with more than 40 years of experience in developing technological solutions for broadcasting, has been responsible for supplying, installing, configuring, and commissioning the equipment for two completely new radio studios: Studio 1, for primary use, and Studio 2, for secondary use. The goal: to offer an immersive training experience, aligned with the highest technological standards in the sector.
Both entities, the University and AEQ, have collaborated closely in all phases of the project, consolidating cutting-edge technological integration in the new spaces. AEQ has undertaken the manufacture of its own equipment, the complete installation, as well as the training of university staff, with AEQ's involvement being recognised and valued by the university in all areas.
Studio 1 is equipped with a 16-fader FORUM IP digital console in a rack-mount format. All communications are carried out using AoIP (Audio over IP) technology, and it includes analog, digital, USB, hybrid telephone, and microphone/line inputs and outputs, among other features.
Studio 2 has a 12-fader CAPITOL IP digital console, also in a rack-mountable format and with the same AoIP connectivity system, allowing for perfect interoperability between both studios.
Thanks to this AoIP-based infrastructure, it is possible to efficiently share audio and resources between the two studios and their respective broadcast booths, optimizing both production and practical learning for students.
Both studios feature the AudioPlus automation system, which facilitates technical management, production, and hands-on training. This solution enables the bulk import and export of audio content between studios, improving workflows and operational efficiency.
Each studio has its own control room and booth, managed by AEQ Netbox 4MH converters for microphone management in the booths, allowing the connection of up to four microphones per unit via AoIP, ensuring high audio quality and easy integration.
AEQ HB-02 units have also been installed as individual desktop headphone controllers, allowing each broadcaster to adjust their listening volume, which is essential in both training environments and real-life broadcasting situations.
The project has been designed and executed according to the real needs and growth forecasts of Antonio de Nebrija University. Borja del Real Rosa has actively participated in its implementation, together with the management team of the Faculty of Communication, and on behalf of AEQ, it has been led by Guadalupe López Toledo, technical-commercial manager, who has been involved in all aspects of the project.
With these two new radio studios, the University is positioning itself at the forefront of communication and broadcasting education, providing its students with professional tools that will enable them to integrate seamlessly into the workplace.
This project reaffirms AEQ's commitment to higher education and technological innovation, providing new generations of audiovisual professionals with state-of-the-art solutions.
