MBC GROUP Celebrates Major Saudi TV Wins

MBC GROUP, the largest and leading media organisation in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), is celebrating the recognition of two of its standout Saudi productions at the 2025 Al Dana Drama Awards.

Acclaimed TV drama, 'Share' Al A'sha' (Al Asha Street), and the hit comedy series, 'Yawmiyat Rajol Anis' (Diaries of a Bachelor) – broadcast on MBC TV channels and streamed on Shahid during Ramadan this year – received top honours at the prestigious awards ceremony, which celebrates excellence in Arabic-language original content and storytelling.

'Share' Al A'sha', starring Elham Ali, Khaled Saqer, Reem Al Habib, and others, was named Best Social Series in recognition of its powerful narrative and cultural impact. Meanwhile, 'Yawmiyat Rajol Anis', led by the popular actor Ibrahim Al-Hajjaj, secured the title of Best Comedy Series.

In addition to these major wins, 'Share' Al A'sha' also earned the Audience Choice award for Best Series, while Khaled Saqer was recognised as Best Actor for his dynamic performance as Abu Ibrahim. Lama Abdulwahab walked away with Best Actress – Audience Choice for her portrayal of Aziza, a character that resonated deeply with viewers across the region.

Furthermore, the evening marked a significant achievement for MBC TALENT alumni, with Elham Ali winning Best Actress and Abdulrahman Nafea named Best Actor – Audience Choice, highlighting the strength of the cast and creative team behind 'Share' Al A'sha'.

Penned by renowned novelist Badrya AlBeshr and produced by MBC STUDIOS – the original content production arm of MBC GROUP – 'Share' Al A'sha' is set in Riyadh during the 1970s and 1980s. The series explores the social fabric of a vibrant neighbourhood that continues to live on in the collective memory of generations.

Also produced by MBC STUDIOS, 'Yawmiyat Rajol Anis' is a socially driven comedy that follows the inner conflict of a man torn between the comforts of bachelorhood and the stressors of married life. The series features a talented ensemble cast, including Ibrahim Al-Hajjaj, Ida AlKusay, Faisal Al-Dokhi, Nawaf Al-Shubaili, Hakeem Jomah, Fatima Al-Sharif and Saeed Saleh.

The Al Dana Drama Awards 2025 were held as part of the 17th Gulf Radio and Television Festival, organised by Bahrain's Ministry of Information in cooperation with the Gulf Radio and Television Organisation (GRTO). The annual event honours outstanding achievements in television and drama across the Arab world across a range of competitive categories.
