Leader Electronics To Showcase LPX500 Quad-Input Waveform Monitor

News Image
Leader Electronics is to showcase its LPX500 Quad-input Waveform Monitor, featuring 100G-IP and 12G-SDI toolsets, at BroadcastAsia (BCA), which takes place at the Singapore Expo from 27-29 May (Booth #5B3-11).

Hot on the heels of its hugely successful US debut at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, the LPX500 will be presented alongside other acclaimed Leader products including its new NDI Checker and multiple solutions designed to support the SDI-IP transition.

Incorporating class-leading technology from both the Leader and PHABRIX Test & Measurement (T&M) brands, the LPX500 is a dual 12G-SDI and dual-100GE-IP input waveform monitor. Ideally positioned for today's SDI, IP and hybrid workflows, the product’s extensive feature set includes: the simultaneous display of four 4K inputs, 4K and 2K inputs, HDR and SDR inputs, or SDI and IP inputs; dual 10GE, 25GE and 100GE inputs; multiple screen layouts; advanced SDI Physical Layer Analysis (Eye and Jitter) option; support for SD/HD/3G/6G/12G-SDI, 10G/25G/100G IP interfaces with SD/HD/UHD, SMPTE 2022-6, SMPTE ST 2110-10/20/20/31/40 with ST 2022-7, and AMWA NMOS; and a host of optional software licenses, including for UHD/4K support, HDR, 25G IP, 100G IP, EUHD (47.95-60p RGB YCbCr 444 formats) and SDI/IP AV Test Signal Generation. The LPX500 also offers an optional enhanced RGB vector with diamond display providing familiar camera shading tools to monitor gamut violations in production environments.

Reflecting the significant surge of interest in video connectivity technology NDI, Leader will also be showcasing its innovative NDI Checker signal monitoring software. Suitable for broadcast and pro AV applications, NDI Checker provides live analysis and monitoring of all NDI signals and network performance, allowing the user to maintain complete visibility across their entire NDI network. Geared towards the requirements of engineers, technical directors and production staff working in environments ranging from small production studios to complex multi-venue broadcast operations, NDI Checker includes intuitive visualisation tools and powerful diagnostic capabilities, enabling the detection of issues before they become problems, as well as the maintenance of optimal signal quality and flawless production delivery.

The transition from SDI to IP remains an ongoing trend, not least in Asia-Pacific where the incorporation of IP-based workflows is widely said to be accelerating. Therefore, Leader will also be showing a number of its leading solutions aimed at supporting workflow transformation and hybrid environments containing both SDI and IP elements:

• The LV5600W 'True-Hybrid' waveform monitor, compatible with 4K/HD/SDI signals and UHDTV/SD/SD IP signals, and featuring a 7-inch touch screen display in a compact 3RU enclosure with built-in AC power supply;
• The LT4670 Sync Generator, compatible with Black Burst/Tri-level sync/PTP signals for both SDI and IP systems, and presented as a 1U full-rack size solution;
• The Sx TAG-IP, which is part of Leader’s very popular portable product series and provides hybrid IP/SDI and analog generation, analysis and video/audio monitoring.

Mr. Tatsuhiko Seo at Leader Electronics, commented: "As the industry continues to evolve and embrace new workflows, Leader has again proven that it has the tools to support all broadcast & media customers – whatever their precise requirements and however far they have come along the road to IP or hybrid. With products including our LPX500 Quad-input Waveform Monitor, which was hugely well-received at NAB, and our other waveform monitor, handheld devices and rasterizers, Leader will demonstrate to BroadcastAsia attendees that it can provide the T&M capabilities they need. We look forward to seeing you at the show."
