GRIFFILMS CREATE BIBI
A NEW character has bounced onto the screens in Wales. Bibi, a little red ball, was created by Hywel Griffith from Griffilms one of the largest animation houses in Wales.
Meirion Davies, S4C’s Commissioner of Children’s Programmes, said: "This is a lively, colourful animation series which should go down well with S4C's youngest audience. Bibi is a new and original cartoon character and a great addition to the Planed Plant's (Kids Planet) gallery of popular fictional creations. We're looking forward eagerly to its television premiere."
As well as the show, Bibi has his own website.
Using the latest flash technology the site is aimed at kids between 15 months and six years with or without parental supervision.
Animator Dylan Jones said: "The emphasis is on fun, however it does have a number of educational elements to it! There are Jigsaws, picture books, counting games and generally loads of free downloads."
The site can be found on S4C’s Homepage at www.s4c.co.uk. (CD)
