BBC Wales, BBC Network And Creative Wales Join Forces

BBC Wales, BBC Network and Creative Wales have joined forces to fund the development of a major new factual entertainment series.

Production companies with a substantive base in Wales are invited to pitch bold, original ideas that celebrate Welsh creativity while delivering unforgettable entertainment to audiences across the UK.

The BBC is looking for an ambitious, returnable format, that surprises, unites, and captivates audiences. Whether live, studio-based, or built around a compelling narrative. This opportunity will showcase ideas that are authentically Welsh whether that's through portrayal, location, voices or production infrastructure, the BBC and Creative Wales want ideas that could only be born in Wales but have the power to travel far beyond it reaching audiences across the UK.

Whether live, studio-based, or built around a compelling narrative arc, your idea should reflect the humour, heart, and imagination that make Wales so unique but will appeal to audiences across the UK. Think big. Think distinctive."

Michael Jochnowitz, Editor of Unscripted (Interim) at the BBC commented: "We are really looking forward to working with outstanding Welsh creative talent to land the next big Factual Entertainment idea.
