Absen Takes Centre Stage At MPTS 2024

Absen has made its debut at the Media Production & Technology Show (MPTS), where the company showcased its innovative AbsenLive capabilities.

On stand C73 located near the production theatre, Absen demonstrated its extensive AbsenLive production technology with floor, wall, and ceiling installations, all of which are ideal for rentals or permanent setups in live events, virtual production, and xR stages. AbsenLive is focused on high-end rental & staging, virtual production, and xR applications and visitors were able to experience the fusion of virtual and real with AbsenLive's cutting-edge LED displays, delivering outstanding image quality and superior colour reproduction.

Absen's stand featured a main screen that utilised the PR1.9, a virtual production specialist product. A ceiling screen showcased the PR3.9, while the floor utilized the Mars series' MR2.5, perfect for live events and VP/xR. A side screen featuring the SA2.6 completed the immersive experience.

In a dedicated demo area, attendees got the chance to get hands-on with Absen products. Innovative solutions from across the AbsenLive portfolio were on display, including the PR1.5, PR2.5, and PR3.9 for VP/xR, JP8pro and JP5pro for touring stages, the PL2.5 plus V2 for indoor/outdoor live events, and the FL2.5, demonstrating its 90-degree angle installation for a full LED cylinder.

The Absen stand showcased state-of-the-art LED video processing thanks to partnerships with Brompton Technology (LED processors) and NovaStar Technology (LED display system integration). These collaborations powered the innovative AbsenLive product range and virtual production solutions. In addition, Racquet Studios, a leading virtual film production facility in Eastbourne, UK, provided Absen with a range of cameras. This collaboration further enhanced and demonstrated the extended reality solutions on display.
