Broadcast Technology receivers selected for Iraqi Media Network Project

Broadcast Technology has been chosen by Harris Corporation to supply equipment for the Iraqi Media Network Project.
The IMN project, on behalf of the erstwhile Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA), is developing an existing but antiquated media network into a modern media organisation for the Iraqi people. The Iraqi Media Network (IMN) program includes equipment, operation, training, and provisioning of programming for two national radio and television networks and a national newspaper with operating locations in Baghdad and more than 30 other locations throughout the country.
Harris Corporation's Broadcast Communications Division is currently constructing studios, satellite distribution network and transmitter sites for installation throughout Iraq.
Broadcast Technology Showman 5000 analogue TV demodulators will be used across the country at transmission sites to provide monitoring capabilities.
Commenting on the project, Martin Altham, International Sales Manager, Broadcast Technology, said: "Analogue TV still provides the mainstay of television viewing around the world today. We are very pleased to be selected by Harris Corporation for this prestigious project."
