CNBC Arabiya chooses Quartz

CNBC Arabiya has completed installation of a Quartz QMC master control solution for programme playout at the TV Company's new Middle East regional facility in the prestigious Dubai Media City.
Leading manufacturer of routers and master control products, Quartz, provided a single channel QMC switcher, a Q128 digital video router, a 64-port data router, and a SC-1000 system controller for playout at the heart of the CNBC Arabiya broadcast centre.
The Quartz QMC, available in either single or dual channel configurations, provides comprehensive video and audio transitions under automated or manual control. Also available are up to four key layers, including an internal logo generator that allows the QMC to store and superimpose channel-branding images, two voice-overs, wipes, and a dual channel DVE. The QMC is housed in a 3RU chassis and allows for add-on modular features in case of channel expansion or complex presentation. Multi-channel installations are achieved by networking multiple QMC systems.
Based on extensive customer feedback Quartz launched at IBC last year the QMC FS, a full-function master control panel, and CNBC Arabiya is one of the world's first 24-hour broadcasters to employ this panel. Providing an extra row of utility buttons, a fader arm (T-bar) for transition control, rotary controls, and dynamic LCD buttons for quick and easy function assignments and access to the QMCs features, the panel is ideal for both automated and manual presentation.
The CNBC Arabiya QMC will handle channel playout from their studio in the Dubai Media city.
