BRITISH PROJECTS SELECTED FOR 2002 SUNDANCE

PAUL Greengrass' Bloody Sunday and Marc Munden's Miranda have been selected for the World Cinema section of the 2002 Sundance Film Festival to be held at Park City, Utah, in January.
These two films were included in the first round of production investment from the Film Council's New Cinema Fund and Premiere Fund.
The Sundance Film Festival is one of the most eminent independent film festivals in the world dedicated to promoting emergent international film talent. First-time feature filmmakers Greengrass and Munden have been recognised as part of a new collective of British filmmakers making a distinctive impression on the international festival circuit.
Paul Trijbits, Head of the New Cinema Fund and Robert Jones, Head of the Premiere Fund said today, "We are delighted for the production teams of Bloody Sunday and Miranda. The inclusion of these films in this key international festival for independent cinema reflects the Film Council's continued commitment to creative excellence and filmmaking, as well as supporting cinema that reaches international audiences."
