RED Digital Cinema Heads To Wildscreen Film Festival
RED Digital Cinema has announced that it will exhibit at the Wildscreen Film Festival, 10 – 14 October.
Taking place in Bristol, UK, visitors to the event will be able to see RED's DSMC2 cameras on display, including the SCARLET-W 5K, WEAPON 6K and WEAPON 8K VV. The limited edition WEAPON 8K S35 – featuring RED's newest sensor HELIUM – will also be on show.
In addition to the above, RED cameras are also being used to shoot a documentary, Flight Of The Swans, which follows conservationist Sacha Dench as she flies the migration route of the Bewick's swan in a paramotor. For the production, the ground crew are using RED cameras to follow Dench as she flies from the Russian Arctic through 11 countries, finally finishing in the UK, where the swans spend the winter.
On Wednesday, 12 October, at the Wildscreen Film Festival, the camera crew will provide a special screening where exclusive footage and imagery not yet seen by the public will be unveiled. The crew also will share some of their experiences along the journey, as well as a behind-the-scenes insight into organising the expedition and the equipment involved. The screening takes place at 11am in the Watershed, Cinema 2.
