HARRIS TO AUTOMATE MIDDLE EAST COMPANY

HARRIS Corporation will equip the new Dubai broadcasting centre for Middle East Broadcasting Company (MBC) with a Harris Automation Solutions ADC-100 automation system.
The new broadcasting centre is part of MBC's relocation of operations from London to the United Arab Emirates. When complete, the MBC system will be the second major Harris automation installation in Dubai, alongside a multi-channel system already controlling the cable networks of Etisalat.
MBC are owned by Aranet, the Saudi communications group and one of the first major tenants of the new Dubai Media City. In the initial phase, MBC will transmit programming for three family channels from a single control suite, broadcasting via satellite not only to the Middle East, but also to expatriates in Europe and the Americas.
